Zaha Hadid in Knokke-Heist

Today was the opening of the exhibition ‘Horizon 8300‘ that displays several high-profile building for the coming years in Knokke-Heist. One of the designs is from world renowned architect Zaha Hadid who designed with her company Zaha Hadid Architects (London) a new trainstations with surroundings (galleries, housing, academy) for Heist, a small village on the coast of the Nordsea.
As it is tradition in Belgium, the design evokes a lot of controversy, so there will be a long road from now untill the building is actually finished.
Heist can compete with Antwerp (Port Authority) to have the first Hadid in Belgium, but compition is good.
